PARIS: Ketchum has acquired French hi-tech agency Gecko as part of a plan to offer hi-tech PR from each of its global offices.

PARIS: Ketchum has acquired French hi-tech agency Gecko as part of

a plan to offer hi-tech PR from each of its global offices.



Gecko brings Ketchum Paris, a hi-tech business with billings of pounds

226,000, a staff of five and clients including Progress Software,

Heptaline Object Design and CosmosBay. Gecko director Pierre Sabiani

will run the department.



Ketchum says the hi-tech sector in Paris is buoyant and expects billings

to grow by 30 to 40 per cent this year.



Ketchum had previously been affiliated to local hi-tech agency

Jean-Martial Ribes, president of Ketchum in Paris, said: ’For a while

France has been a little behind in hi-tech, but it is now catching

up.



There are a lot of French start-ups and companies from countries like

the US and Germany setting up in Paris.’



Ketchum Paris has overall billings of around pounds 823,000 million and

a staff of 20.
