Edelman PR Worldwide deputy UK managing director Patrick Roberts is
joining former Edelman managing director Abel Hadden at his new
consultancy, Abel Hadden and Company, as a partner.
Roberts leaves Edelman in April after ten years with the agency, where
he headed the corporate, public affairs and crisis divisions. He said:
’While I’m totally happy with Edelman, I need a new stimulation.’
Roberts joined Edelman from the Foreign Office, where his work included
a posting to Paris as press and information coucillor. Pharmaceuticals
company Pfizer and pipeline company PSG International were among his
clients at the agency.
Hadden left Edelman to set up his own consultancy, which specialises in
reputation management, last year.
The agency has also recruited motor racing team F1 Williams’ media
manager Jane Gorard as a partner. Raleigh International PR officer Anne
Sampson joins as a consultant.
Hadden himself is preparing to return to work full-time following
treatment for a cancer which was diagnosed last year.
