The NHS Confederation is seeking to appoint a new parliamentary and
public affairs officer after a recent audit revealed that members of the
charity want it to provide a more focused and pro-active public affairs
function. The Confederation was set up in 1997 to represent the
interests of over 95 per cent of NHS trusts, health authorities and
health boards. The new officer will report to the Confederation’s
communications head, Helen Bradburn, who previously handled public
affairs.
