PROs asked to give views

PR professionals' views are being sought on how millions of pounds worth of government money should be spent to develop the creative sector.

The Technology Strategy Board, set up by the Government to promote innovation in technology, has just published its first strategy for the creative industries.

It is asking for feedback from the PR and marketing industries, to influence the direction of the funding programmes.

PROs are being urged to express their views online at The site will also host an interactive debate on 2 November on the future of digital innovation.

Jeremy Silver, the board's lead strategist, said: 'The strategy aims to get the creative industries working more closely to fully exploit new commercial opportunities.'
