The New Zealand Tourism Board has switched to The Saltmarsh

Partnership six months after appointing Red Rooster to handle its UK

public relations.

The board is keen to attract older travellers with higher disposable

incomes to the islands, while still welcoming the mass of backpackers that

visit New Zealand each year.

’Red Rooster is extremely good in the youth PR sector,’ said marketing

manager Siobahn Galvin. ’But we realised that we needed more traditional

travel PR. The doors are open to use Red Rooster, or other agencies, on a

project basis.’

The New Zealand Tourist Board originally saw The Saltmarsh Partnership in

November when it held a competitive pitch for the account.
