In 2010, the Government's Carbon Reduction Commitment will insist companies meet carbon reduction targets across the UK. PowerPerfector helps companies reduce energy consumption by up to 20 per cent by regulating voltage that comes into a building. It has already been adopted by Tesco, Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs and the Tower of London.
Good Relations head of consumer Richard Moss will lead the account, focusing on profile-raising and campaigning. 'We know ourselves that the next big thing in carbon will be a fixed solution to achieve the essential carbon reduction targets,' said Moss.
Separately, Kaizo has been appointed to drive awareness for energy saving gadget range Energenie. The two account wins indicate the rising importance of the energy-saving sector.
Kaizo picked up the Energenie business after a pitch that involved three other agencies. Kaizo account director Stephanie Macleod will lead the Energenie account team.
'Activity will initially focus on preparing for Energenie's new range of energy saving products in November,' said Energenie MD Alan Tadd.
