The National Magazine Company is stepping up the frequency of its quarterly health and beauty title Zest to a monthly from April 1996.

The National Magazine Company is stepping up the frequency of its

quarterly health and beauty title Zest to a monthly from April 1996.

The summer issue of Zest, launched 12 months ago as a spin-off from

sister title Cosmopolitan, sold 148,000 copies.

Zest editor Eve Cameron has begun the search for a deputy editor, beauty

editor and health editor. The magazine will now appear 10 times a year.

Zest publisher Vivien Cotterill said the magazine will appeal to women

in their late-twenties who tend to be newspaper readers but light

magazine readers.

Cotterill denied that the title was entering an already congested

woman’s magazine market. ‘We are offering a very different product,’

she said.
