INTERNATIONAL: GCI buys stake in Rinfogruppen

STOCKHOLM: GCI has bought a 49 per cent stake in Swedish PR group Rinfogruppen. Rinfogruppen employs over 40 people, and its largest subsidiary, full service PR agency Rinfo, specialises in IT and healthcare. Clients include drugs companies Merck Sharp Dohme and Pharmacia and Upjohn, and IT companies Microsoft, Intel and Cap Gemini.

STOCKHOLM: GCI has bought a 49 per cent stake in Swedish PR group

Rinfogruppen. Rinfogruppen employs over 40 people, and its largest

subsidiary, full service PR agency Rinfo, specialises in IT and

healthcare. Clients include drugs companies Merck Sharp Dohme and

Pharmacia and Upjohn, and IT companies Microsoft, Intel and Cap

Gemini.



Rinfo founder and president Henry Rawet will retain a 36 per cent stake,

and senior vice-president Ann Askenberger will own 15 per cent. The

agency will change its name to GCI Rinfo.



Rinfogruppen owns Rinfo Interactive, a 10-strong internet

consultancy.



Rinfo Interactive president Oller Ljungdahl will become president of GCI

Interactive Europe, and Rinfo will become GCI’s co-ordinating agency for

the Nordic region.
