3 Monkeys will work with Viridor to help raise its profile at a national and local level and support its growth plans.
The wide-ranging brief will include press office activity, strategic communications, public affairs, community and stakeholder consultation and engagement, web management and design work.
The team will be led by board director Stuart Yeardsley, supported by a team of three consultants. He will report to Viridor external affairs manager Dan Cooke.
‘We will be working closely with the Viridor team to help raise its profile in the recycling, renewable energy and waste management areas,' said Yeardsley. ‘In particular, we will be focused on achieving cut-through at a national level to ensure it stands out in a crowded industry.'
Viridor's Cooke added: ‘The waste industry is changing, it is highly competitive and has become much more about resource efficiency and recycling in recent years. This is a very exciting time for us as we have a real chance to make our mark.'
