Ketchum PR is to co-ordinate pan-European communications for Frontec,
the Swedish electronic messaging firm, in a deal thought to be worth
around pounds 100,000 in fees.
Frontec, which provides messaging technology for businesses and large
organisations, signed up Ketchum’s technology division two weeks ago
after it competed with specialist hi-tech agency Banner.
The campaign will cover Frontec’s key markets in the UK, France,
Germany, Italy and Spain but not Sweden, where the company retains local
consultancy Sandberg for corporate and product PR.
The company recorded pre-tax profits of SKr40 million (pounds 3.9
million) last year and serves industry giants like SmithKline Beecham
and express courier DHL but is little known in its own right.
Frontec is also planning to raise SKr170 million (pounds 16.5 million)
through a rights issue and Ketchum’s brief is likely to include
stimulating interest in the offering.
