PR Week is joining forces with sister titles Marketing and Management

Today to host a major public relations conference this summer.

The new-look ‘Hard Commercial Edge of PR’ will include two full

conference programmes on the same day -one on marketing communications,

the other on public affairs, financial and corporate PR. There will also

be a programme of seminars, presented jointly with the PRCA.

The event will be topped and tailed by plenary sessions featuring major

speeches from Observer editor Will Hutton and Shandwick plc chairman

Peter Gummer.

Jointly chaired by Countrywide chairman Peter Hehir, and BBC corporate

affairs director Colin Browne, the conference takes place at the Church

House Conference Centre in Westminster on 8 July,

It will feature more than 30 top speakers - including Des Wilson,

Raymond Snoddy, Locksley Ryan, Roger Hayes, Chris Rose, Tim Sutton, Mark

Damazer, John Stonborough, Lord McNally, Sandy Walkington, and Simon

Lewis.

They will tackle topics including: dealing with pressure groups;

lobbying in Brussels; PR and lobbying during bids and mergers;

integrated marketing; the effects of the changing political climate; and

consumers and the media in the 1990s and beyond.
