STOP PRESS - Percival moves to Lord Chancellor’s office

Allan Percival, Tony Blair’s deputy press secretary and Alastair Campbell’s second-in-command at 10 Downing Street, has been appointed to the new post of director of communications for the Lord Chancellor’s department. He will oversee an 11-strong team, including head of communications Sheila Thompson, who was previously in charge of the Lord Chancellor’s communications operation. Before joining the Prime Minister’s press office, Percival worked as press secretary to the Prince of Wales.
