British Music Rights, the umbrella trade organisation representing
music creators and publishers, has retained Lawson Lucas Mendelsohn to
handle its public affairs. The account was previously held by Shandwick,
which did not repitch. LLM will lobby for strong copyright and
anti-piracy legislation and against a narrowing of the National
Curriculum. Members of British Music Rights are: the Music Publishers’
Association, the Alliance of Composer Organisations, the Performing
Rights Society and the Mechanical-Copyright Protection Society.
