Former IPR president Dick Fedorcio has left the Electricity

Association where he was director of communication to join Doug Smith’s

public affairs shop Westminster Advisers.

Fedorcio,43, said he would be working on a project to develop local

government business for Westminster Advisers.

No decision has been made on whether to replace Fedorcio at the

Electricity Association. In the interim his duties have been split

between company secretary Brian Venables and David Porter, director of

policy development.

At the Electricity Association Fedorcio was responsible for a team of 12

people, although this was much reduced from the 30 he inherited when he

took the job as its first director of communication in 1994.

Last year the association transferred two units, including the schools

education service, to another division as part of the separation of its

trade association functions from the pay-as-you-go services it also

provides to its members.
