International healthcare advertising group NCI Worldwide is moving into
PR.
It has opened its first PR office in London headed by ex-Hill & Knowlton
account director Laura Silver.
The office has already won work for Janssen Pharmaceutica and an
integrated campaign for Hoechst Marion Roussel with NCI Worldwide’s UK
advertising arm.
NCI Worldwide is a subsidiary of Nelson Communications, a healthcare
communications network of 28 companies with billings of over USdollars
400 million in 1995. The PR operation will handle integrated campaigns
including medical and patient education and Internet marketing.
‘Healthcare advertising and PR have been traditionally viewed as
distinct disciplines but we believe a holistic approach is a more
effective and efficient marketing strategy,’ said Silver.
