Hilton Worldwide finalises European comms lineup amid global rebrand

American hotel group Hilton Worldwide has finalised its European comms lineup following the launch of its new global branding.

The former Hilton Hotels Corp has just rolled out its new ‘Hilton Worldwide’ global identity and merged its UK and European operations.

Katrina Jones, the former comms director for UK and Ireland, has been given the expanded role of vice president of corporate communications for Europe. Her colleague Jules Kerby has been promoted to director of corporate comms for Europe.

Lastminute.com’s PR manager Charlotte Wilmots and Marriott International’s PR and marketing manager Dan Corfield have also joined the team.

The team is based in the European headquarters in Watford. They all report to senior vice president of comms Ellen Gonda is based in the US. Hilton uses Golley Slater in England and Dada in Scotland.

Hilton’s ten brands include Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts, Conrad Hotels & Resorts and Embassy Suites Hotels. These individual brands are not affected by the group corporate identity change.

Hilton’s luxury brand Denizen, launched in March this year, is currently mired in controversy after rival hotel company Starwood Hotels accused the firm of stealing their ideas.

Starwood alleges that one of its former employees, who had joined Hilton in a senior role, had passed on confidential information about its own luxury brand W to create Denizen. The case continues.
