The brief to deal with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) was handled by the Central Office of Information.

COPD is the UK’s 5th biggest killer, and describes a number of lung conditions including chronic bronchitis and emphysema.

The Bell Pottinger team is looking at brand language and key messages on lung health, lung disease and lung age. This work is part of a COPD strategy currently being developed by the DH.

Meanwhile, the British Lung Foundation (BLF) and Barking and Dagenham NHS are launching a campaign to alert Barking and Dagenham residents to the symptoms of COPD.
