25 September Attending the DigiPharm conference this week has made me think again about how the industry is approaching the opportunities presented by digital technology. I keep coming back to a favourite expression; a lot of activity and not much progress. I met a number of people at the conference who really do seem to be experimenting with digital communications vehicles.

24 September Viralheat ... weird name ... interesting measurement option for the small and not so small folks out there. Been checking out Viralheat (viralheat.com) and I must admit I'm impressed. A smart, easy-to-use, simple platform that allows you to measure your campaign's footprint on ze blogs etc!

24 September Russell Davies has spotted the flaw in using a network of local bloggers as a cost-effective model for developing local content. I blogged about this last month. Here's what Russell has to say: 'Writing about my neighbourhood worries me. The people and shops and cafes are going to notice you're writing about them. There's a difference between slagging off a restaurant you don't intend to go back to and walking past the place every day.'
