Those seeking PR miracles need look no further than this month’s meeting
of the Health and Medical Public Relations Association.
In the less than spiritual confines of the London Press Club, journalist
Michael Moriarty will discuss miracles and medicine and give an ‘eye-
witness account of a 300-person pilgrimage to Lourdes’.
HAMPRA chairman Philip Paul admits the timing owes no small debt to the
current political and media absorption with morality.
‘I’ve had a much bigger response than I expected,’ says Paul. ‘Most of
our members are orthodox medical people, such as senior PR
representatives of major multi-national pharmaceutical companies. Not
the sort of people one would think would be interested in an exercise
like Lourdes.’
Who knows, it could be their salvation.
