DIARY: Training session leaves legal eagle grounded

Fishburn Hedges director Sue Stapely’s effervescence is always stirring but I hear it was almost too much for a firm of City lawyers which recently experienced one of her memorable training sessions.

Fishburn Hedges director Sue Stapely’s effervescence is always stirring

but I hear it was almost too much for a firm of City lawyers which

recently experienced one of her memorable training sessions.

One of the practice’s partners writes to Stapely: ‘Thank you so much for

spending time with us...It was stimulating, challenging and [a certain

partner] is, on the whole, as well as can be expected. The men in white

coats are optimistic that he will be available to sign letters and file

his post within a few days and, perhaps soon after that, he may be able

to attend meetings and resume work...If you can bear to remain involved,

then we will let you know when we next need some serious disruption.’

Oh, to have been a fly on the wall.
