Wagadon, the publisher responsible for the Face and Arena, has

hired Lexis PR to handle the September launch of its new women’s

magazine.

With a working title of Mission, the magazine will target 25- to

35-year-old women and aims to attract around 80,000 readers.

Group editor Dylan Jones, said the title will be up-market, competing

against the likes of Vogue, Elle and Marie Claire.

’We know we are going into a competitive market, but we are not being

naive about it,’ he said.

Mission’s staff include Tina Gaudoin, ex-deputy editor of Tatler, as

editor and Vogue’s Sarah-Jane Hoare as creative consultant.

- Lexis has expanded its business with AT&T, to take on its retail

business-to-business account, in a competitive pitch against Key

Communications.
