BT has appointed Oxford-based consultancy, Le Fevre, to handle the
public relations for its retail corporate client sector.
Le Fevre picked up the pounds 50,000 account after a three-way pitch
against Cameron Choat and the Quentin Bell Organisation - a BT rostered
The business was previously handled by Band and Brown, but the Quentin
Bell Organisation has been acting as a caretaker agency for the last
’We wanted to bring someone in with experience in the retail industry
and we were also keen to work with a smaller agency,’ said Ayes
Amewudah, head of marketing for the retail sector.
The appointment comes as a result of the restructuring of BT into
business units 18 months ago.
The corporate client business unit is responsible for selling products
and services to the UK’s top 100 retailers. Customers include
Sainsbury’s, The Burton Group and Kingfisher.
’Le Fevre’s key task will be to position the business unit in the
marketplace,’ said Amewudah. ’We want clients to understand the breadth
of what we can offer.’
