Richard Fletcher has been appointed City editor of The Daily Telegraph. He was previously the broadsheet's executive editor, business. Fletcher will be in charge of the business section of the daily newspaper and will write a new weekly City editors column.
Fletcher will be supported by Alistair Osborne, business editor, and recently appointed assistant City editor Jonathan Sibun.
Meanwhile, Sky News has appointed former BBC financial correspondent Dharshini David as its new business correspondent. David worked at the BBC for eight years, before moving to Tesco as the supermarket's head of broadcast.
The move follows the hire of Mark Kleinman, former City editor at The Sunday Telegraph, who joined the channel earlier this week.
The Sunday Telegraph has also made changes to its City team. Lawrie Holmes has been made deputy City editor, leaving his role of six years as business editor on the Sunday Express.
Lawrie will support City editor Kamal Ahmed, who is to start at the paper on 29 September, after being appointed in July.
