Seven activists dressed as suffragettes put two bin bags full of manure on his front lawn at 11am this morning, alongside a banner that read: ‘This is what you’re landing us in.'

The group said it targeted the Top Gear presenter because of his blase attitude towards climate change, demonstrated in his recent drive to the Artic that emitted an estimated 1.7 tonnes of carbon.

Spokeswoman Tamsin Omond said: ‘Climate change will make my future unrecognisable… I’m dumping dung at Clarkson’s gates so he might understand that his attitude will land us all in the shit.’

The stunt is part of the group’s month-long horse and cart roadshow through South West England. The roadshow aims to celebrate environmental initiatives and criticise high carbon infrastructure and individuals who promote carbon-intensive lifestyles.

Last week two Climate Rush campaigners were arrested during their protest outside London Oxford Airport.
