Towry Law, a leading firm of independent financial advisers, is

carrying out a review of its consumer and corporate PR requirements.

The firm drew up a list of ten agencies which it saw last month and is

about to invite four shortlisted agencies for a second pitch. Incumbent

agency First Financial, which is owned by Chime Communications, is on

the shortlist.

The account, to which a single agency will be appointed, covers the UK

and, if the agency has international links, overseas markets as

well.

Towry Law’s main requirement is for an agency to promote its services to

consumers. The brief includes an element of corporate and financial PR

work as well.

The selected agency will work on an annual contract and report to

recently appointed associate director of group marketing, Mike

Bowman.

Bowman said: ’We are going through a review process. First Financial has

done a very good job. One of the reasons for the review is to see

whether there are different or more interesting processes out there in

the PR world.’ He hopes to make an appointment by the end of this month.
