The Conservative Party has appointed former Mail on Sunday editor
Jonathan Holborow as campaign consultant and Channel 4 creative director
Ceri Evans as presentation director. Holborow’s role covers media and PR
campaigns, while Evans’ brief covers party political broadcasts. The
party has also recruited former Daily Express political editor Nick Wood
as chief lobby spokesman. He will report to and work closely with party
leader William Hague’s press secretary, Gregor Mackay. Mackay has been
promoted to the new post of media director, leading the party’s
25-strong press office.
