EutelSat, the Paris-based organisation which arranges satellite
time for broadcasters, has hired its first head of PR.
Catherine Briat-Holger has been hired from agency Gavin Anderson to
publicise the group’s activities to the broadcasters it sells space to.
She is also responsible for liaising with manufacturers and retailers of
satellite dishes.
’The advent of digital technology is leading to far greater demand for
satellite services,’ said Briat-Holger.
EutelSat is a public body, jointly owned by 45 countries in Europe, the
Middle East and Africa. It is due to be privatised within the next five
years.
The principal broadcast users of satellite time in Europe are in the UK,
France, Germany, Italy and the Netherlands.
Briat-Holger worked as a director at Gavin Anderson Paris for a year
before joining EutelSat. Previously she had spent six years with
Burson-Marsteller’s Paris office.
