World Awards Music appointed the agency to help manage press interest in the event, which takes place on 26 September in Austria, and will be broadcast across the globe.

The agency staged a press conference this week with Michael Jackson’s brother to announce the line-up, expected to include Stevie Wonder, Mary J. Blige, Natalie Cole and Chris Brown.

But the stress of organising the event, as well as the singer’s memorial event in LA, took its toll on Jermaine Jackson, who cried in front of reporters when asked how he is coping since his brother’s death.

He said: ‘We haven’t had time (to mourn) yet. Michael didn’t belong to us, he belonged to the world. We have to give the world what they want. It’s tough, very tough’.

The concert will feature the band and dancers who would have performed at Michael Jackson's cancelled gigs at the O2 Arena.
