Twestival is a Twitter-based fundraising festival that raises money for charity twice a year. The latest festival launched in London last night, and will now spread to other countries. Events are due to take place across the globe until Sunday.

The festival is expected to raise around a quarter of a million pounds for charity worldwide.

Twestival is the brainchild of PROs Tim Hoang (Porter Novelli), Tom Malcolm (Diffusion PR) and Ben Matthews (Hotwire PR). It started as a 300 person meet-up in London and has now grown into a global fundraising initiative.
