1. So holiday season is over. Far-flung corners of the world have been explored, but among the most adventurous this summer was surely Graham Biggs, BMW's director of comms, who spent two weeks in the Himalayas. If you were looking to avoid BlackBerry interruptions, you could have just switched the thing off, Graham.

2. Flack is a little less envious of Frank PR, which headed off to Wales for the 25th annual World Bog Snorkelling Championships. The not-so-prestigious event was sponsored by its client Rowntree's Randoms. Contestants were armed with a pair of 'bog-gles', flippers and a snorkel and had to swim two muddy lengths.

3. Colman Getty staff were getting in touch with their dark sides last week during the launch of Charlie Higson's children's book about zombies. Staff members took two zombies down to Radio 1 to ambush the self-confessed zombie-fearing DJ Chris Moyles during his 'fresh-air break', scoring a decent plug for the book on air.
