The Information Corporation, the Bournemouth-based financial and legal
services group, is investing up to pounds 100,000 in a PR initiative to
position itself as a first point of contact for mortgage and investment
The group, which comprises three companies: The Solicitors Trust,
Mortgage Intelligence and Investment Intelligence, has hired Holmes and
Marchant as its first PR agency to handle the launch of its mortgage
network and is negotiating a contract for its investment wing.
Due to be launched in July, Mortgage Intelligence will link independent
mortgage brokers in the UK in a marketing co-operative to compete
against banks and building societies. In return for a weekly fee members
will benefit from a pounds 10,000 a week advertising spend and special
deals with product providers.
