Noiseworks, the specialist hi-tech consultancy, has unexpectedly
resigned from its pounds 200,000 fee account with Sun Microsystems after
just 18 months. The agency will finish its work at the end of June.
Originally hired in October 1994, Noiseworks was recruited to help
develop Sun Microsystems’ corporate profile and build awareness of the
company as an IT systems vendor for large commercial organisations
rather than individual users.
Noiseworks’ associate director Judith Bell, who worked on the account
together with fellow associate director Claire Batton and managing
director Nick Hayes, cited a difficult working relationship as the
reason for resigning.
‘The level of enjoyment working on the account was not sufficiently high
to justify the level of work we were doing on it,’ she said.
