After a difficult 1998 when it faced a barrage of public criticism,
Beth Taylor, head of communications for the UK Atomic Energy Authority,
has created a senior role in her communications department. The new
deputy communications head will report directly to Taylor and the senior
management team as well as the DTI and the Scottish Office. Setting the
agenda for the agency’s six press officers, co-ordinating the
communications strategy and identifying potential PR issues for the
agency will be key parts of the role.
