Kindred to work on awards with Hertfordshire council, anti-fly-tipping campaign in Oxford.

Kindred has been hired by Hertfordshire County Council to deliver its first biennial Building Futures Awards, designed to celebrate sustainable building in the county. Kindred will support the planning, promotion and execution of the award scheme, including the awards ceremony in December.

Oxfordshire Waste Partnership (OWP) is launching a new anti-fly-tipping campaign across Oxfordshire. The campaign will help raise awareness of this environmentally damaging crime and encourage residents to report suspicious activity. OWP comprises councils in the Oxfordshire area including Oxford City Council.

Hillingdon Council's comms team and the Royal Air Force (RAF) organised a homecoming parade for the 63 Squadron RAF Regiment. The Queen's Colour Squadron returned from a six-month tour of duty in Kandahar, Afghanistan last month. Local and national media reported that more than 20,000 people visited Uxbridge, west London to welcome them home.

The Scottish Government has chosen Consolidated PR to handle its organ donation campaign, after a competition among the roster PR agencies. The objective is to deliver a call to action that drives people to register with the Organ Donor Register. The Scottish Government is responsible for increasing the number of Scots on the register with direction from the Scottish Transplant Group. The brief will be headed by director Will Holt.

The Equality and Human Rights Commission has released new disability general guidance to help public authorities revise their disability equality schemes. For the majority of public authorities, the date to publish a revised scheme will be 4 December. The Commission, which has recently suffered numerous negative headlines, will be producing further guidance to support public authorities within the next few weeks.
