UK lobbying firm Westminster Strategy has launched itself on the
expansion trail with a tie-up with Washington firm The Jefferson
There is also speculation that it will bid for Brussels firm Paul
Adamson Associates, although WS managing director Michael Burrell
refused to say whether he had approached the firm.
Adamson Associates has had a strategic alliance with Lowe Bell
Communications since 1995, although an expected deal has not
materialised. Agency chairman Paul Adamson would neither confirm nor
deny he had been approached by WS.
Meanwhile, WS and its sister agency European Strategy announced a
link-up with top ten Washington lobbying firm The Jefferson Group - the
first formal alliance it has had with a US firm. Burrell said the move
was prompted partly by the fact that many US companies are now targeting
the UK for investment.
