Power systems company Rolls-Royce plc has hired broadcast
consultancy Bulletin International to exploit global PR opportunities
outside the print media.
A core team of six has been set up at Bulletin’s London office. Liaising
US, Singaporean and Australian colleagues, they will provide broadcast
material supporting all Rolls-Royce’s major announcements over the next
year.
Earlier this year Bulletin helped the company gain TV coverage for its
dollars 5 million order to supply engines to the Middle East airline
Emirates.
Martin Brodie, of Rolls-Royce’s corporate communications division, said
the company considered hiring a broadcast consultant on a retained basis
when big deals like this had failed to get TV coverage. ’We want to
maximise the effect of major announcements which get print coverage but
miss out visually,’ he said.
