One-fifth of Tories fighting in safe seats in the coming general election have PR or public affairs backgrounds, according to a survey by Rowland Public Affairs. The report ’The Conservatives After the Election’ also found that more than one-third of candidates have been political special advisers or have worked for Conservative Central Office.
