Outdoor apparel specialist Berghaus has appointed regional PR agency
Communique to help extend its reach beyond hearty mountaineering types.
The company hired Communique for a six-figure fee earlier this month,
following a competitive pitch.
The agency has been briefed to establish footwear and clothing firm
Berghaus as an ‘aspirational need’ brand, among general fashion-buyers,
as well as its traditional outdoor enthusiast market.
Communique will also handle Berghaus’s sponsorship of mountaineer Alan
Hinkes in his bid to become the first Briton to climb the world’s 14
Hinkes has already climbed eight of the peaks, including Everest and K2,
and will be attempting to climb the remaining six next year.
