The Rowland Company has picked up business from home delivery firm

Flanagan and Co Supermarket Direct in a pounds 70,000 account sweep.

Launched in October last year, Supermarket Direct operates a home

grocery shopping service in west and south-west London, delivering

150,000 Sainsbury’s and own-label products each week.

The agency will work alongside K Advertising, Rowland’s sister company

within the Cordiant group.

Managing director Beverley Kaye said that the three- year programme

would focus on building the Supermarket Direct brand and raising

awareness of the service.

‘We will aim at people who like to use their time in a quality way

rather than trogging round supermarkets,’ said Kaye. Fees for the

account would eventually rise to at least pounds 100,000 a year, she

added.
