France’s new minister of agriculture and fisheries, Jean Glavany,
last week appointed Francis Latarjet as his communications and media
relations adviser. Latarjet, 49, joins the ministry from Lyon’s airport,
where he was director of marketing and communications. He will head the
minister’s political communications operation and oversee a three-strong
team. Glavany became agriculture minister following the election of his
predecessor, Louis Le Pensec, to France’s second chamber, the Senate
last month.
