Consumer electronic giant Fujitsu General has hired Paragon
Golin/Harris to handle business-to-business PR for its Plasmavision
brand of display screens. The account was awarded last week, following a
two-way pitch and there was no incumbent.
Plasmavision accounts for 25 per cent of of Fujitsu General’s European
sales. It is a range of slim, large format, colour screens designed to
display video and computer graphics for advertising in retail
environments.
Fujitsu General UK sales manager for Plasmavision Mark Dew said the
market is set to expand as retailers use the products to market to
shoppers.
’A lot of the effort will be on media relations through the marketing
press and special projects,’ said Paragon Golin/Harris board director
Janet Salvoni. The product’s use in transport environments will also be
exploited, and the benefits will be shown to companies like UK airport
landlord BAA.
The company also produces air conditioning equipment, camcorders,
electronic cash registers, satellite receiver systems and televisions.
