Joe Evangelisti, head of corporate communications for Europe, Middle

East and Africa at JP Morgan, is leaving his UK base at the end of this

year to head up the bank’s global media relations in New York.

Evangelisti, who has been in the London-based job for three years,

manages communications for the full range of JP Morgan’s activities,

including asset management, mergers and acquisitions and lending. As

well as external PR, the job also involves corporate advertising and

internal communications.

In New York, Evangelisti will act as the chief media spokesman for the

bank on all areas of business, and manage press representatives within

each business group.

His move has been prompted by the promotion of JP Morgan’s existing head

of worldwide media relations Richard Mahony to the new post of chief

operating officer for corporate communications. Both men will report to

Laura Dillon, managing director and head of corporate communications

worldwide.
