The brief will involve monitoring and lobbying on issues surrounding the

Competition Bill, which contains a clause on predatory pricing, and the

Human Rights Bill, which governs freedom of information and data

protection.

Both bills are currently going through Parliament.

The agency will also support the NPA in ongoing debates like crown

copyright, which protects most Government documents from duplication

without a licence and is currently being challenged by publishers.

The NPA also retains Angela Mills, an independent European public

affairs consultant, for monitoring and lobbying on a European basis.

Political Context has been appointed on a one-year contract believed to

hold an annual budget of pounds 30,000.
