Investcorp and Quebecor have in the last week hired lobbying firms

GJW and Lawson Lucas Mendelson to handle their respective rival bids for

printing group Watmoughs.

GJW will work alongside investment bank Investcorp’s financial PR

agency, Lowe Bell Financial, advising on the pounds 250 million bid.

Printing group Quebecor launched its pounds 176 million bid last

December, at which time it appointed Lowe Bell Political. The bid was

cleared by the OFT a few hours before Investcorp announced its rival

bid, which in turn forced Lowe Bell Political to stand down because of

its sister company’s commitment to Investcorp.

LLM will continue where Lowe Bell Political left off.
