MacLaurin Communications has been hired to handle the launch of the
revamped Sunday Business newspaper, which is due to reappear on
newsstands in the New Year.
The paper - which originally launched in April 1996 - was bought out of
receivership in August this year by European Press Holdings, which also
owns the European.
MacLaurin will launch a heavy-duty media relations and promotional
campaign to raise awareness of the title with its target AB audience,
specifically the financial community. Brian MacLaurin, managing director
of MacLaurin Communications, said it was ’not a relaunch, but the launch
of a brand new product.’
The paper, which is being revived under editor-in-chief Andrew Neil and
new editor Jeff Randall, will be printed on pink paper with the aim of
setting it apart from the other Sunday papers.
MacLaurin was involved in the first launch of Sunday Business under
previous publisher Tom Rubython.
- MacLaurin has won the PR and media relations account from Camelot for
its National Lottery Instants TV game show, which is due to launch next
spring.
