Midlands-based radio station 100.7 Heart fm has picked Harrison
Cowley’s Birmingham office to raise its profile as part of its drive to
boost its number of listeners.
MacLaurin Communications, which continues to handle PR for Heart owner
Chrysalis and the London station, had previously handled the
Miriam Nevill, marketing controller of the Heart stations, said that
moving the account to Birmingham was a reflection of the station’s
desire to have a strong Midlands profile.
’Harrison Cowley has established contacts within the local media and
business community, and can be more ’hands on’ than someone
geographically based in London,’ Nevill said.
The station is the biggest commercial radio station in the Midlands (in
terms of total listening time) with an audience of 564,000.
