Saly Gunnell’s Fit Stops

Olympic athlete Sally Gunnell has brought in Omer-Li Cohen Public Relations to launch her chain of fitness centres, Sally Gunnell’s Fit Stops. Gunnell, who runs her last race in Gateshead on Sunday, announced her retirement from athletics in August. The gyms are designed to attract people who are intimidated by the ’headbands, mirrors, posers and gasping weight-lifters’. The first two Fit Stops are currently being built in Sutton and Tunbridge Wells and are due to open in December. Omer-Li Cohen will devise individual strategies to be implemented and managed in-house and co-ordinate sponsorship and joint promotions with suppliers and retailers.
