The Body Shop founder Anita Roddick has lost her personal PR
manager, Sara Tye, to the Yellow Pages.
Tye, who has been with The Body Shop for three years, is to take up the
post of UK head of PR at Yellow Pages later this month.
Her role with Roddick had a strong international focus, and included
accompanying her on trips abroad. Tye also co-ordinated media requests
Yellow Pages recorded revenue of over pounds 6.7 billion in 1996 and
claims to be the ninth biggest media brand in the world, with
distribution of 20 million directories.
Tye will be working within the marketing function, running PR for the
Gavin Grant, head of public affairs at the Body Shop, said the ethical
health and beauty chain was looking to recruit a number of people. The
communications and consumer marketing functions have been brought
together following the arrival of Marina Galanti, head of
communications, in April.
’We’re working in a more integrated way now and will have to see how the
team evolves,’ said Grant.
