The Body Shop founder Anita Roddick has lost her personal PR

manager, Sara Tye, to the Yellow Pages.

Tye, who has been with The Body Shop for three years, is to take up the

post of UK head of PR at Yellow Pages later this month.

Her role with Roddick had a strong international focus, and included

accompanying her on trips abroad. Tye also co-ordinated media requests

for Roddick.

Yellow Pages recorded revenue of over pounds 6.7 billion in 1996 and

claims to be the ninth biggest media brand in the world, with

distribution of 20 million directories.

Tye will be working within the marketing function, running PR for the

brand.

Gavin Grant, head of public affairs at the Body Shop, said the ethical

health and beauty chain was looking to recruit a number of people. The

communications and consumer marketing functions have been brought

together following the arrival of Marina Galanti, head of

communications, in April.

’We’re working in a more integrated way now and will have to see how the

team evolves,’ said Grant.
