Commercial property agent Jones Lang Wootton is about to appoint its first corporate PR outfit.

Commercial property agent Jones Lang Wootton is about to appoint its

first corporate PR outfit.



The company has seen pitches from four agencies over the past two weeks

for the contract and was about to make a decision as PR Week went to

press.



The bidding process is being managed by Jones Lang Wootton senior

partner and head of marketing Honor Chapman.



The company has an in-house public relations department of three press

officers led by PR manager Tina Christou. One press officer handles the

company’s internal communications and two manage external relations.



Christou declined to comment on the agency selection process.



Jones Lang Wootton has 70 offices in 27 countries and a world-wide staff

of 3,700. Last year its global turnover was around dollars 365 million

(pounds 233 million).



The business’s main competitors in the commercial property sector are

DTZ Debenham Thorpe, Chesterton International, Healey & Baker and

Richard Ellis.
