The project, which follows a competitive pitch, will aim to discover the region’s attitude to alcohol, how much people consume, and how they perceive alcohol related health and social issues.

Research is being undertaken throughout August and September, public events held in October and communications promoting the findings will be implemented in the run up to Christmas.

A project microsite and brand identity is also being developed by Forster Creative.

The project supports the Chief Medical Officer’s request for Strategic Health Authorities to run Big Drink Debates.

Forster is already working with the Department of Health and the Home Office on the Know Your Limits and Units campaigns.
